Kettlebell Swing
This exercise is so simple, so basic, and so easy. It’s my favorite exercise and it should be yours, too. I try to incorporate at least one set into every exercise I do.
So what’s so great about it? Well for starters, it works just about everything.
Upper body? Yep. Lower body? Yep. Core? Yep. Is it a weight training exercise or cardio? Yep – it’s both.
No kettlebell? No problem – you can use a dumbbell or any other weight that you can safely handle with two hands.
Here’s how it’s done:
- Stand with your feet should width apart and knees slightly bent
- Let the weight hang in front of you between your legs
- Lift the weight up to about face-level. You should be driving up through your heels with your elbows slightly bent. Your knees should straighten out as you explode upward
