When you’re first starting to exercise, it can be difficult to be positive. It’s tough to get rid of that big old cloud of self-doubt that’s been following you around. Especially if you’ve been ill/impaired/unfit for a while. You’ve had all that time to soak in the negative ‘you can’t do that’ attitudes from those around you.
But they’re wrong. It will take time, it will take patience, it will take determination & it might even take some adjustments to suit your situation. But the most important thing is for you to realise that actually, you can.
