Importance of Warming Up Before Working Out & a Dynamic Warm Up Plan to Follow
Why should I “warm up” before I workout?
My favorite analogy is to think of your body as a car on a really cold day. Before you drive off, you want to make sure you warm up the car in order to avoid damage to its working parts. You start the car and run it for a few minutes before driving away to make sure everything is ready to go.
Your body is exactly the same. It needs time to prep for the upcoming activity to ensure your “working parts” avoid injury. This is even more important if you work a low-activity job or sit for long periods of time through out the day.
